"Remembering Her"

As I come to the place where we once played

I stand and stare at the waters reflection

A man of age is what I am

Not so long ago it seems

We laughed and ran along the waters edge

Your hair so blonde like strands of gold

Myself a spry young boy

Chasing the dreams of childhood

Our Friendship close..A love almost

Then as we grew you went away

Thoughts of you cross my mind

Thoughts of a time gone by

I wonder at times where you are

Emotions stirred by sounds of laughter

This is what I have..When I remember her
